What's she run like with that turbo? I'd love to ride a turbo bike but don't think I can carry enough spare pants. Laughing

Building the Boxer Empty Re: Building the Boxer

Post by cabbie Thu 25 Apr 2013, 20:40

took the Boxer out for a blast Saturday and the motor overheated, this was probably due to M B Customs pathetic little Maplins fan! I was only a few miles from home so thought f**k it and carried on, it seized as I pulled up to the garage door lol lol great big cloud of steam etc, so motor in the bin and got my mint condition 94 blade motor out, this is the motor Bob Farnham tuned to the bollox, he got 140 rwhp from it! anyways stripped the bike down and started fitting the new engine, I got twin R6 fans for the rad just to make sure it stays cool

Building the Boxer Empty Re: Building the Boxer

Hey Cabbie,

Out of curiosity what size was the fan they used.

The reason I ask is that I got a new rad from Serck with a 5.5 in diameter Spal fan and I'm wondering now if I should go bigger on the fan.
