My new bike!

Post by griz on Sat 17 Apr 2010, 16:12

Hello peeps, I just sold off the gsxr, car & nearly sold the zx7r & bought myself a new bike. In a ideal world I would have bought another blade but my aches & pains just wouldn't allow me to enjoy a long ride on something so focused. So I decided to revert back to a old zx12r! Smile I had one years ago & found it so comfy & thought it would be the best bike for me for the mean time.

Here she is, it feels a bit like boarding a tank but sure is comfy! Laughing

I got it cheapish as it's a cat D with some light damage & won't cost me much to put straight. It's got a near new rear tyre, chain & sprockets, armstrong wavey front disc's & also has goodridge front brake lines & a zero gravity screen.

Here's the damage

I bought a mirror & indicator & I think the front tyre is pretty much near it's wear limit so I'll replace that too & then go get it's mot!

Just trying to figure what would be the best mods to carry out next scratch Laughing

I always liked the big 12r's,does not look like it will take much to tidy up,not for a man like yourself.

Enjoy mate.

Yeah there great bikes, real speed monsters, not the very best handling but better than a standard busa (had one of them too kitted out with full maxton setup front & rear)

I'll soon have her sorted & looking like new, a bit mad it's got a cat D on it for the amount of damage but if it gives me a cheaper bike I'm happy! sunny

Thanks bud!

Yep I've been eyeing up the 1375 kit, makes 210 bhp! which is enough me thinks eyebrow mega bucks though! Maybe I should start saving?? Laughing

That bike looks very chunky and heavy Paul. Did the later ZX12's go on a diet coz I did look at one in Cheshire which was anorexic in comparison.
