Re: Fireblade day at the Ace Cafe, 4th July 2010
Don't class this as the anticipated Forum meet of 2010 though guys n gals, it's just another day. If we want it as the national meet then fair play, but as they offered I took as I thought it an opportunity not to be missed, so we can make it what we want
Usually these things are kicking off from about 10am, sometimes earlier.
The Ace hasn't done a Blade day before, at first they wanted us to use Honda day and said we could have a stand, but when I explained that the Blade had a 'minor' cult following and it's entering it's 18th production year they seemed to appreciate the potential I was on about - they'll rake it in. Who know's? if they like it they may even do it the following year - and the 20th year could be real special.
Admin, an extra page on the site would be good for the search engines if you know what I mean? - The day has been organised on behalf of the members of Firebladeriders.com

A list of attendees thread could/would be handy, but it's it's still a few months away yet - although time flies and it'll soon creep up on us.
We should also nominate a forum corner of the car park? Or we could agree a time to be there from ? and take over the whole glass frontage? Everyone donning a forum sticker on their rear seat / tailpiece might also be handy so we know who each other are? some of us know what we look like from some of the threads? and it should be easy to spot Kaiser as he'll no doubt be staggering about shouting drunk german obscenities.
Shall we enquire about one of those wheely machines for the day?

Re: Fireblade day at the Ace Cafe, 4th July 2010
I'd better sort out a firebladeriders.com sticker, me thinks.
Better make sure we support this from the forum don't want the day to fall flat on its face its our chance to sell ourselves and maybe pull in a load of members to the forum.
Yep 8 months seems far away but when Crimbie is out the way, spring comes along (whoooo ho) then its get the Blades out of mothballs and away we go.
Plenty of time to save for fuel and an ace traditional breakfast of Cholesterol plus numerous mugs of tea, (hope they can make a decent cuppa down south, have to take some strong teabags down with me)

There's been a lot of search engine optimisation in the last few months - 6 months ago we were on page 11 of Google, we're now on no.1

Don't worry - you can specify strong or weak! The Ace cafe is almost a glorified restaruant now anyway, the food is excellent biker menu stuff!

After a 42 minute telephone call Extreme Wheelie have pencilled in the day for us!
They are the company that Hein Gericke has contracted for their store open days with the wheelie machines - Some of you may have read about them.
Wow
It's going to be a cracker!
He's putting their new 6RR Repsol Blade replica on the machine for the day!
