Very nice - funny thing is that inch by inch there is most probably more black on your bike than red

got any pics further back of the tank with the gold logo as it does seem awfully big.

Nope, i'm not taking the bait, however i will say there is a distinct difference between black and carbon, a seasoned pro like yourself should know that, so in essence i'm actually covering the nasty bitsfastbikefinder wrote:Very nice - funny thing is that inch by inch there is most probably more black on your bike than red
yeah, got her the fishnets and i'm hopefully getting the smallest teeniest mini skirt at some point next weekDeathace wrote:are the carbon frame covers the bike slut version of fishnet suspenders then

The tank stickers are slightly bigger but only by about 5mm, i think they just look big because i took a close-up picture, i'll wheel it out later today and take a shot of the whole bike, i think your find they look about right...but let me know if they look too big, their only £5.00 a pair so i can easily change em

It was difficult to get a picture without a glare just where the Honda decal is, and believe me i took about 10 pictures from different angles but they all had the glare in the same place. This is probably the only shot i could get where you can just about see the decal but you can get an idea about the size.
Take no notice of the BLACK cbr sticker on the fairing, that unsightly colour sticker is being removed soon.

Re: My CRR1000RR-05
looks good Bill, It was just the close up without the perspective that made it look big, I think it looks good and once the CBR bit is in gold aswell will blend nicely with the tank and tail.
I never really thought Red & Gold would go well but I am pleasantly surprised that it does match without being "look at my bling" and at the end of the day we all do things to our bikes to be different.
Are you adding a seat cowl? if so take a look at some of the flat ones rather than the slotted ones as a m8 with an RR5 changed his from slotted to flat and it looks so much better with the side vents, I know his was a custom made one to keep it nice and sleek but I am sure there are some out there that do the same job.
De-sticker ya tank and such like it looks so much nicer without warnings all over it
Keep up the good work
Russ

Re: My CRR1000RR-05
Oh don't you worry about those front indicators they're definitely being trashed/eBay'ed, i'm just getting a couple of the expensive carbon bits done first, once i've done those i can chip away at all the little cheaper bits each week...or two.Kaiser wrote:Bill - one of the best mods to my bike was the front indicators. Cheers Russ, like what you say i don't want "over-bling" i'm going for the subtle approach. I am getting a seat cowl but i quite like the look of the slotted ones but then again i've not seen any others! Would be good if you have a picture or link to the cowl your talking about, could be an option.Deathace wrote:looks good Bill, It was just the close up without the perspective that made it look big, I think it looks good and once the CBR bit is in gold aswell will blend nicely with the tank and tail.

Re: My CRR1000RR-05
What a right royal pain in the butt they was to fit, i didn't realize the water/coolant pipes and a thick part of the loomb would be in the way on the right hand side and i had to cut/modify the carbon on the left hand side because there wasn't a hole for the fairing bracket?!?
I got so involved with cutting and shaping the left hand panel that i forgot to take any pictures
In the end it all went well tho, really pleased with the out come, hopefully got some more carbon goodies turning up this week so another weekend of tinkering to come. Here's how it looks now it's back together.
Once i manage to get/afford the rest of the carbon parts it should all match together nicely, i think the carbon frame looks a bit out of place at the moment but not for long

Cheers, i'm pleased but like i said once the other carbon bits go on it should look much better.

Once again it was a friend that suggested this company and to be honest i would recommend too but...
I must admit i wasn't very pleased that you only get two bits of carbon in a box, no bonding/adhesive, no literature and the left panel needed modifying. Then why recommend i hear you ask... because they only cost £150 delivered

Re: My CRR1000RR-05
Another bit turned up today, i must say i was pleased how quick it turned up and when i first got them out the packet they looked superb but...
They was a right fooker to fit, if i didn't have a bench grinder set up in my garage i would have sent them back, i had to fart arse about for ages to get them to fit nice and flush. Suppose that's the price you have to pay when you get cheaper ones. I'm happy with the outcome tho, it's gradually coming together.

Well i was none to pleased when i first tried to fit them, i thought it would be a 2min job to put them on (it's one 5mm allen key bolt for gods sake) and i ended up down the garage for over an hour faffing about trimming the bloody things, true what you say tho, it's the end result that's gonna count.Kaiser wrote:Nice Bill
