Re: Barmouth some time in September ...
Right then dudes & dudettes, I am back safely once again from the middle east and raring to go for sunday!
As per all of the previous posts the suggested meet ups are as follows:
07.30 - Petrol Station at Markeaton Island on A38 in Derby (Andy, Mark & Pip)
07.50 - Little Chef on A38 at Fradley (Dazza)
08.10 - A454 (west) at Junction 10 of the M6 (Nige)
09.00 - Quatford cafe (West Midlands posse)
Dazza is kindly bringing his GPS along so we should be ok to complete the route without getting lost too much!
See you all then.
Weather & all other random acts of god permitting of course

You should make it to the cafe in plenty of time then, it's only about 30 minutes from there.
What't the plan through Dudley and Kinswinford or Tipton?

Re: Barmouth some time in September ...
Yea was a fantastic day out. Good company, outstanding roads (apart from the last drag home). We should go that way more often, probably next year now.
Unfortunatly i forgot to turn on the route tracking program on the sat nav so i have no record of the roads we took. Could someone please verify which we we went.
Cheers guys

Re: Barmouth some time in September ...
What a top day. I really am grateful for you lot turning up, it made the day a great one. That Beemer of Andy's has got me thinking..... All the carbon fibre and gadgets on Marks bike has got me thinking.... Gilly getting his ear plug stuck has got me thinking....I have a lot of thinking to do.
Dazza, The way back was this one mate...up until the boring stuff ride back from Barmouth I will do the same for the way there and post it
It was a pity about the mist !!!! But I still had a great time, roll on next year ( or maybe this year if we have the indian summer that is suggested )

Re: Barmouth some time in September ...
Never saw any rain, a little bit of mist and damp roads over Dinas but other than that dry all the way. Bit breezy though.
Chucking it down now though.

Re: Barmouth some time in September ...
Well as said before by others it was a good day, although I've had serious ear ache since being back, no I didn't get my ear plug stuck like Gilly, but Chunk hasn't stopped moaning about the fish and chips, can any one confirm I stopped him having them, I'm sure if I'd turned round and said he couldn't there would've been a two word answer with the second word being OFF!

Re: Barmouth some time in September ...
Reading these posts, I'm a bit peeved to have missed the ride out.
Glad to hear Barry sorted you a good route out, and now the ones from further afield know what great roads we have so near to us.
p.s. I see you took my advice on a good road yesterday Barry.
