Had a busy day on the bike, I got all the brakes bled, finished the last of the wiring and put back all the faring brackets, just waiting for the plastics to come back from 1off-designs, that'll be about 2/3 weeks, I'll get the engine fired up next week and give it a service ready for the first ride hyper

hyper hyper hyper hyper hyper hyper hyper hyper hyper hyper

Just fixed up a bottle for a fuel supply and fired it up, even though I forgot to use the choke it started 5th press! the stage 7 dyno jet and advancer I fitted are very noticeable just blipping the throttle, it's instant response.
Spoke to Will at 1off-designs and he is devoting all next week to my seat faring etc etc so the first ride isn't far away now and yep I'm well buzzing about it.

The Harris faring brace arrived too so just waiting for the bodywork.

Wish I could have a two week coma, the next 14 days will be pure pain waiting rofl

Cabbie, where did you get the blue hose from the reservoir to the master cylinder? or is it an off cut of a coloured braided line?

cabbie wrote:It's an off-cut from the cooling hose kit BUT the brake fluid corroded it so I fitted some proper clear brake line hose and changed the reservoir too.

What happened to the reservoir? I just bought on the other day :(

I've been umming and arghing about using the HRC brake tube kit, and doing away with the reservoir, but the Honda hose is known to sweat on the road, but I think that is because people are using DOT 4 with it rather than DOT 5 synthetic.
Also, the best tubing to use is TYGON chemical resistant non sweat stuff.

I've decided on the red reservoir and wanted to get some red hose to go with it - the bike has always had a red theme to, hence now the red sump lol, but I may settle for 6.4mm ID tygon but the only stuff I can get in less than 25m is slightly neon yellow.

Where'd you get your clear hose?

No mate the clevis won't fit a blade rear master cylinder, also don't use the "bling" red reservoir cause the lid gets stuck when tightened, I had to use mole grips to get it loose again!

Oh dear, to late now.

I feel a mod coming on. But it's disappointing when you have to mod something new.

Do they just have sticky threads as they are new?

I often found ally male and female threads stick when tightened.

do you think a bit of manipulation with grinding paste will loosen it up so it's operable, before fitting it?

A fortnight to wait, now what are you going to do for a fortnight?
Last time you were twindly your thumbs, you came up with this amazing clutch conversion and that only took a week!
Can't wait to see what you come with on a fortnights thumb twindly.
Anything different about the clocks or are you staying with standard 94s?
