The more I see an Original Blade, the more I want one! either this colour or the black one with the silver/grey graphics....

......hhmmmmm got me thinking now, tigger is still being worked on to make her even cleaner (if that is possible) so I think it's time to pursuade her indoors I need another!

All the early Blades have an annoying rattle mate.

Does it rattle from about 5000rpm by any chance?

err yes!
boos down a bit as well, you have to rev through a bit of spluttering. Could be because it had been sat in a showroom for a couple of years.

Oh, i'm in long buckby but working in wellingborough on monday

Is the choke functioning properly?
I presume the inlet rubbers are in good condition & air tight.

Mine had a bit of a rattle which was the cam chain tensioner but doesnt cause a flat spot or splutter.

When was your Blade serviced last mate?

How long was the bike standing? I rebuilt a vfr400 that had been standing for 18months and the choke assembly needed stripping and cleaning plus petrol had solidified in the carbs and jets, making it fail to run.

Then the rubbers had hardened and were misshaped causing too much air to be sucked in, plus I know it's seem obvious but when were the plugs last changed?
