Ex-Bladerider's Rides
Maybe I should trade the Yam in for a 954?

Hi, Is that the 400 you were doing up and you placed piccies on with the different colour schemes ? I think you have chosen the right colour mate, it looks absolutely fantastic.

Re: Ex-Bladerider's Rides
Thanks. Only took about 10 developments for me to get the design right...
The Konica? It got.....upgraded.
7 weeks of sourcing 20 year old plastics later (not to mention all the bits needed to attach them):
The paintwork took two months, so I added a few new bits here and there.

Re: Ex-Bladerider's Rides
I haven't been online much since my RRN went (busy in the garage y'see, as well as getting a new job and everything), but I remember some quality forum users here. Haven't had the R6 long, it's a great bike day to day bike and logically, it's ample for my uses. But I keep wondering whether I'd be better off with a 954 Blade - so I thought I'd pop in for a browse.

Re: Ex-Bladerider's Rides
Fantastic mate. Have you still got the photos of the Konica one from scratch ? I still can't believe that you managed to make that from the lump that you purchased in the first place.
You have a skill mate.

Re: Ex-Bladerider's Rides
The Konica and the NC30 are one and the same bike (sort of). I just didn't get along with the Tyga bodywork and I'm a sucker for RC30s. But yeah, some detail before/after shots:

Re: Ex-Bladerider's Rides
I haven't got the talent to 'make' bikes, I just like to tweak them slightly......does get a little pricey though, so I'm not sure whether I could realistically work on other people's bikes. Mind you, I do get quite a few people asking if I do a cleaning service...
The '30's not coming out to play until the salt clears unfortunately, I'll just have to wait. I did momentarily take it out in its current state around October - most viewers walk straight past it as if it's any other 17 year old import.
The Yamaha doesn't seem to match the colour scheme though - I may have to get a 954 Blade in white instead.

Re: Ex-Bladerider's Rides
Good work there dude
I take it with all the work and time done on them bikes that you like cleaning then more than riding them ?
which is ok because by the look of it you're good at it
