Cadwell Park March 15Th - Yeeeeeeessssssss
Hi guys,
On Sat, I was at Cadwell Park for my first trackday of 2014. I had decided to use my 'one size fits all' bike, my RRX.
It was a great day, run by FE and loads of tracktime. I have done a few days at Cadwell before nut the first time on a blade and it was awesome.
I rode to the track, followed by the wife in the car with spare fuel and paddock stands...
Trying out a new Hagon shock and running Bridgestone S20 tyres, felt really stable all round during the morning sessions....
After lunch, got into the swing of things and embarrassed a few of the trackday 'professionals'
Bike was faultless all day and needed nothing except fuel. I bolted on the mirrors, waved the wife off and rode home.
Pound for pound, the best fun you can get on a bike!
More fun on track than riding the old Ducati too....

Now then srad
Excellent. Cadwell is a fantastic track, nearest thing to a road, I think that's why. Glad you had a great day roll on the next one.

Re: Cadwell Park March 15Th - Yeeeeeeessssssss
I did Snetterton on my 929 on Friday and it was faultless, the morning fog was a little late lifting but once it had gone the day warmed right up.
33 in each group which was a really great spread so great track time and space.
Having failed the noise test at 104 v 102 limit "with baffle in" I was told to do the sighting laps and come back....
I've never enjoyed sighting laps so much (just in case).....
Although still 104 after this they allowed me on the track, and it was great.
I'd had the bike in for a dyno set up in the week so was really pleased with the outcome considering I've removed the flapper valve in air box and the HTEV exhaust valve and capped it off, set the suspension up including new front springs seals etc..
What a beautiful day it was, I pulled up in the penultimate session of the day owing to Everyman and his dog getting passed and me constantly running too hot into corners...yup the brake fluid was boiling up, I still have the original rubber hoses on there.
Having ridden my rsv mille on track for the last few years this in line engine took me a little getting used to...looking forward to another day soon.
