Well why don't you guys come over on the evening and stay and then go to the bike show from here (only approx 8 miles from NEC). If you are on the bikes then plenty of room in the garage and loads of room for cars. There sorted!!!
Do they do rock in Manchester???

Re: NEC bike show 2007
I fly home on the 28th Nov and trying to rebook my flights from Paris to Aberdeen via Birmingham, so if all goes to plan I'll be at the NEC on Wednesday 28th. SORRY folks but i don't see the reason for flying past there and then driving all the way back down and PAYING for it.
If all doesn't go to plan, I'll see you on the 1st.

I have it on good authority from a mate who has had a stand at the show that this is somewhat a myth. Some put the prices UP for the last day and then reduce them for punters so they think they are getting a bargian.
Re: NEC bike show 2007
Having done loads of shows at the nec, on the stands.
The days of last day bargins are gone, they just charge to much for the stands.
Perhaps im looking at it from a negative point of view, but why pay to go look at a bike on a stand, when all you want to know is how it rides????????
Why not book a test ride, when it hits the show rooms?
The foods crap, to expensive, parking is expensive, then you can throw in the unhelpfull staff (well some of them), sorry but i just cant see the point of going.

Re: NEC bike show 2007
Visited the show today, and to put it mildly, was disappointed.
I've been to the bike show every year for a quite a number of years, and this year is the smallest ever. The organisers have changed the halls the show uses, trying it would seem (vainly, in my opinion) to make it look bigger than it actually is.
As a rough idea, it used take about 6 hours to see everything - today I did the lot (including halls' 2 & 3 twice) in about 3 hours
There are a few retail stands where you'll get a few quid off, but it would seem to be old, or damaged stock.
On a positive note, it was great to see Bennelli (sp?) back at the show, but Aprilia, Bimota and MV were noted for their absence.
Nor were there the normal array of racers at the show - I only saw Antony West (but Rob McElnae was seen lurking around occasionally).
Of course these are only my opinions, and I'm sure there will be those that will thoroughly enjoy themselves.
But basically to the organisers - "Pull yer fingers out for 2009"
