Hi From Nth Suffolk, UK!
Hi all,
my name is Steve and I moved to North Suffolk from Enfield in Nth London a few years back to enjoy the cleaner air and better B roads for biking! I have always owned a bike since the tender age of 16 but to be honest have always been a Kwak fan until I saw this poor old Blade about to be turned into a streetfighter, I had to save her! Havent ridden her yet as she is not quite finished so dont know how she will compare to my Kwak ZZR1100 D in terms of power but am sure she will out handle the Kwak! Have tried to post a pic or two, look forward to chatting and thanks to those who have already helped me to get a step closer to getting her roadworthy! PS, NO OFFENCE TO ANYONE WITH STREETFIGHTERED BLADE, I JUST PREFER A FAIRING TO HIDE BEHIND LOL!

AS YOU CAN SEE FROM UPDATED PICS, SHE IS READY FOR MOT, PAINT TO FOLLOW AFTER SUCCESSFUL MOT!

Re: Hi From Nth Suffolk, UK!
Welcome Steve,
Mine was a Castrol Blade before I turned to the Dark Side (Streetfighters).
I hope the restoration goes OK.
ps I still like the Castrol Colours but I aint found any evidence of Blades racing in them, have you?

Re: Hi From Nth Suffolk, UK!
Dont think so, did they actually manufacture a Castrol rep from the factory? I would love to get a pic of a real one if they did so I could get mine painted properly. The paint on mine isnt too clever but I do like the colour scheme! You got any pics of before you took the fairings off yours?

Greetings Steve and welcome to the site.
The blade will out handle the ZZR, but power wise it will be left behind.
Let us know how you like it when you are up & running

Re: Hi From Nth Suffolk, UK!
Updated pics now, she is ready for mot but paint still needed on rear end, should I just go white or splash a bit of green and red into the mix?
