Well it's not a blade guys but something to keep me busy!

It's a 2005 GSXR1000 as you can see it's been in the wars but I think it's salvagable

I may fight it or go back to standard-ish spec not sure yet?

I may have to change the frame, we'll see, but it was to cheap not to go for it!

I will try and put up a few pictures of the mods made already but in the mean time this is the latest editions (arse backwards i know but hey ho).

Well I decided to have a look and see what else I wanted to do to the blade and whilst I was over in the states I picked up some of the OEM (CBR1000RR) stickers that are used on the winning red bikes in the US and went about cutting it down so that I had the 1000RR piece only.

I decided that I would put them on the tail unit much like previous ...

It's no good for me as it's brand new with shock, disc, caliper etc and out of my price range but well worth the £495 imo

Maybe good for someone here?

I bought these for a bmx, and also to see if they'd go on the blade.

Not necessarily everyone's cup of tea but they are pretty cool - especially if your in to fightering.

They are made from thick rubber and will need boring out so they'll go on motorbike bars but they look real trick.

Ok, so with the help of Nutty (thanx Nutty) here's my idea for my Blade.

Soz the picture quality aint much but you'll get the idea!

Wow it worked!

Ok so Six months ago I started mocking up a new Sudframe in wood

Then spoke to a fabricator that did work for my employer about making it up in Ali square section tube...................Well he did.............Badly.

so back to square1

Second hand Subframe was bought n I did it myself.........

I got some cool pipe expanders today and hope to make up my new exhaust soon and it got me thinking.

I keep buying tools and gadgets so......

Here's a thread idea along the lines of 'what have you done on your bike today' thread.

Any cool tools, parts or gadgets that make modding that bit easier?

Examples could be spanners or mini speedos or wi fi coffee makers!

Wadaya think?

here's the pipe expanders!

Hi all, well at first bought this bike to keep standard & enjoy it as it was but I got bored & fancied having a go at building something a bit different.

So I've stripped the bike right down & I'm now in the process of rebuilding it with some fancy parts

I fully understand that some may view what I have done as complete abuse of a nice standard blade but to be honest I don't care! I thought about selling it & then buying a less cared for example but then I wouldn't be ...

I started off with an almost stock 98 RRW other than a Johnson Carbon can and mini carbon indicators. The first thing i did was to tidy up the pitted fork bottoms and pitted calipers, i was doing it on the tightest of budgets so it was done with a tin of Arizona gold and a tin of smoothrite red, i also done the rear caliper. This job was done a few months back and now has all new stainless bolts.

Next job was to tackle the top yoke and ignition where some little £ucker tried to nick it, ...

Here's the new gsxr 600 tail unit

Started the subframe work, I cut the two sections apart and shortened the top so the tail will fit

Got a sheet of 3mm alloy and some 22mm square bar

Hi Guys,

New to the board, thought that I would share a couple of pics of my 16,000 mile RP, bought is in August last year, it was in pretty good nick and never been crashed. What started as a quick tidy up ended in a full rebuild and a hefty bill, but now it’s finished It’s been worth it.

Got it in Fast Bikes a month or so ago, since then I have ditched the badly re-painted silence and bought a new one. I have loads of other pics if anyone is interested.

Cheers

Well its all done now, I took these pics before running it round for the MOT.

So now it has a full ticket and six months tax.

Question is do I put a few hundred miles on with a shake down run and scrub the new tyres in for a new owner?

OR

Do I keep it and sell the Urban Tiger?

Everyone's finances have suffered mine included; i might be lucky and be able to keep one of them so which should I sell (first)?

Similar mileage and condition, if you were buying which would you buy?

I was going to announce my project build tonight; but it's already time for cocoa.

So it will have to wait till Tuesday when I get time to post.

But let's see if you can guess what it's going to be!

Here's some clues:

It's got to be cheap to build (I'm a Yorkshireman you know).

It can't use too much in the way of one-off parts; I'm no Cabbie I'm afraid.

It's got to be based round the 893cc engine; it's that tight wallet factor again.

It's got to be desirable. After ...

Have been talking a lot to Masterblader and Helrazzer lately about bike not accelerating, bogging, coming out of slow corners. Basically I brake and downshift going in, neutral throttle through and try to accelerate out of corner. But it just bogs down and lurches forward about 2 seconds later. It's now really pi**ing me off. Any other SFs or Road Rockets with same problem and how do you cure it?

Becuase I've changed the total look of my CB750/900 I needed to make some one-off sidepanels.

That in itself wasn't any bother, just make a cardboard template for some ally sheet.

However I wanted form to them so have beaten them out to the shape I wanted.

Problem is that in order to shape them without access to presses and the like I've used thin 1.5mm sheet and now I need to reinforce ...
